Are KCA offices taking any safety measures/precautions to accommodate our elderly patients/patients with compromised immune systems?

KCA Neurology has implemented practices recommended by the CDC and other public health agencies to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) and reduce exposure. All employees are required to remain home if experiencing acute respiratory symptoms and/or fever until they are free of a fever for at least 24 hours, without the use of fever-reducing medications. Employees who have been exposed to individuals with these symptoms are also required to self-isolate in their homes. Our providers also mitigate the risk to our patients by adhering to hand hygiene practices before and after patient encounters. We perform routine environmental cleaning of our workplaces such as doorknobs, desks, restrooms, patient beds, etc.
No, regular wear of masks is warranted for healthcare providers who are treating/evaluating PUI (persons under investigation) for COVID-19 or if we encounter a patient with similar symptoms.

We ask that our patients limit the people who accompany them to their appointments to the drivers and/or caregivers. Our lobbies afford patients adequate space to maintain a social distance of six feet when checking in for appointments. Please be mindful of this distance when visiting our offices and all public places.
