4
Know your refill status and have pertinent details
Have everything you need for an efficient and productive appointment. Find out if you need refills before the visit.
5
Confirm Stable Internet Access
Please be at home or in a private office with stable internet access to avoid delays that will cut into your appointment time with your provider. Do not attempt to participate in a tele visit from your car or outdoors.
6
Make your Follow-up appointment
At the end of your telehealth visit, text us to make your follow-up visit. This is very important to do immediately after your visit to prevent delays in your next appt.
Telehealth FAQ
We understand telehealth may be new to you. Hopefully you find this FAQs section helpful. If you have a question not listed, give us a text or call.
Am I eligible for a telehealth appointment?
Only return visits are eligible for telehealth and only under certain circumstances. Best practice is to see you in person, but if circumstances preclude an in person visit, we will happily schedule a telehealth visit.
How long does the appointment last?
The maximum duration of a telehealth visit is 15 minutes (the same as a regular return visit), after 15 minutes the session will automatically end.
Can family attend my telehealth visit?
Yes, we would just ask that they be visible to the provider.Â
I am the caregiver for my mom who has Alzheimer's disease. Can I make a telehealth visit to discuss her care?
Yes, but the patient must be present.Â
I am traveling, can I have a telehealth visit out of town?
As long as you are in the state of TN, yes. If you are in another state, you may not have a telehealth visit. KCA is only licensed in the state of TN.
Can all my visits be telemed?
No. Telehealth visits are offered when you have extenuating circumstances that prevent your coming to the office in person.Â
I am moving to a different state. Can I remain a patient at KCA?
As long as you travel back to the state of TN for your appointments, yes. If you are physically in another state, you may not have a telehealth visit with us. KCA is only licensed in the state of TN.
